CEO

Jay originally planned to go to college to become an architect. Instead, he started out as an electrician's helper, and after working for another installation company, he realized how much he enjoyed this line of work. Through sacrifice and commitment, Systems Automated was created. The name has changed a few times and the scope of what the company can do has grown significantly, but his goal remains the same: to install material handling systems while achieving the utmost customer satisfaction.

Jay also feels called to help people grow. Designing, programming and installing conveyor is what Systems Automated does, it is not why we are here. We are here to help people build a career, further their education, buy a house and do much more.

CFO

Janine studied accounting in college and worked in insurance and banking before joining Systems Automated. She has served as Vice President and CFO from the very beginning, and she does an excellent job of keeping the business financially stable and successful. Jay originally tried to start and run the company on his own without much success, contractors like to do the work, not so much the paperwork, but that changed once Janine stepped in.

Vice President of Customer Solutions

Jordan officially joined the team in 2012, but as the son of Jay and Janine Easley, he has been around the business his entire life. He started as a field helper and technician in 2012, working mostly on the mechanical side as a certified welder, then learned the electrical side and continued to move "up". From there he worked as Foreman, then Installation Manager, then Vice President of Sales, and most recently was promoted to Vice President of Customer Solutions. Many of the people he works with today are ones Jay worked with before Jordan could walk!

Office and Career Path Manager

Jessica officially joined the team in 2016 but, similar to Jordan, as Jay and Janine's daughter she has been around it her whole life. She holds a BA in Liberal Studies for elementary teaching, and after a few years spent using that degree, she found herself doing the one thing she said she never would - working for her parents. She started as the receptionist in the Texas office in 2016, back when base operations were still in California, and has grown into the role of Career Path Manager, which she has held for the last several years. She also assists the install team in various ways and oversees AP and AR, HR-type duties such as employee benefits, contractor licensing and permits, and general office manager duties including meeting coordination and company meeting organization, with assistance from Angel Verhovshek.

Vice President of Operations

Todd joined the Systems Automated team in 2021 as Shop Manager. Before joining, he had a successful and varied career in law enforcement, largely in a leadership role, and he is a retired police officer and military veteran as well as Michael's father-in-law. His consciousness towards safety and efficiency is an asset to our team, as is his management experience and his ability to create and document SOPs. As Shop Manager, he oversaw the panel and fabrication shop as well as the general warehouse, making sure our field team was fully equipped for installs. In 2025 he was promoted to Vice President of Operations, where he oversees warehouse operations, fabrication, panel shop, shipping and receiving, as well as manage the project managers and the installation manager. He also acts as an engineering manager.

Senior Solutions Engineer

Michael was hired as a Controls Engineer in 2020 and eventually moved into the role of Engineering Manager before resigning in 2023. He returned in August 2025 as Senior Solutions Engineer, primarily to support Jordan in the sales process by drawing on his engineering knowledge and his comprehensive understanding of automation systems, specifically what Systems Automated does and how we do it.

Project Manager

Hunter was hired as a field helper in 2019 with very little electrical or mechanical experience. He became a foreman-in-training in 2020 and in 2023 stepped into the role of Project Manager, the first at Systems Automated.

Project Manager

Nick was hired as a field helper in 2021, at a time when his older brother was also working for us. After about a year he left to finish his associate's degree, and we held a position open for him. When he returned, he moved into Design Engineering, and in early 2024 he became a Project Manager, a position in which he has really excelled.

Installation Manager

Alex was hired in 2020 as a field electrician, arriving with electrical experience already behind him. He moved into the FIT program in 2021 and became a Project Manager in 2023. When personal circumstances meant he could no longer travel, he was prepared to resign, but Systems Automated did not want to let him go. It was not only his skills, but his fit with the team: his dedication to the company and the way he cares for and mentors his teammates were things we could not afford to lose. So we created an office position for him, first as Field Coordinator and then as Installation Manager.

In this role, he has developed and improved our Installation Standards documentation, handles scheduling for the field crew, assists with hiring and reviews of the field team, and continues to mentor and train the crew. He really acts as a consistent link between the office and the field. He also occasionally jumps back into the Foreman role as needed.
